Yes. Ugh.
It's hard to catch up. Everything has been so hectic. Homework, drawing, painting, both my wrists breaking- It's been fun!!! (Not.) But it's o.k- because I have some updates.
Topic number one: I will be posting some more stuff! Yeah, that's right- new stuff! A few charcoal drawings of my classmates that I had to do (bare in mine, these are my first charcoal pieces IN MY LIFE), some doodles, even some stuff from like..... forever ago so my progression in drawing and such can be seen. Also, I'll post some of my old T-shirt designs from when I use to work in my print shop and such.
Topic number two: Did I tell you I was cosplaying? I did? Well guess what- I'm telling you again! My gosh, I've met some wonderful people recently because of it. What have I been cosplayin' you may ask? Well Hetalia. Yes, Hetalia. Who? Well Australia. ( N. Italy, Chibitalia, Finland, and Prussia are in the works.) Now you all are probably like 'ehhhh' but wait a second there's more! My excitement is bursting with this information- I get to finally cosplay one of my favorite characters and my dream cosplay of all time; and hopefully it'll make it's debut at Anime Expo 2012. Who is this person might you ask? Well it's Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad. Yes. Altaïr. You see I have a friend who has been wanting to challenge his sewing and detailing skills..... and after a conversation about Assassin's Creed Revelations and how after every Altaïr play moment I was squealing like a fan girl- he willingly offer to make me my dream cosplay. My reaction to all of this- pure shock at first, then this:
Topic number three: Did I tell you I got some new games? Assassin's Creed Revelations and Uncharted 3? Reviews- both good games, but both lacking something. With Assassin's Creed, it sent off Altaïr and Ezio (watch Assassin's Creed Embers for Ezio's true ending) with a grand fair well. I have to admit, I will miss my BAMF (Altaïr) so much. He just......it was just...... ugh. Words can not describe that man. Unfortunately, I felt there was no..... umph behind the game- no risk factors. With the first game, the set up the idea. Second game, they GREATLY improved the gameplay. Bloodlines was a filler on Altaïr and Maria's relationship as well as a closer to straggling questions. Brotherhood was both a risk-taker with it's Multiplayer and single large free running map. Where is the jump expected in Revelations? Yeah you get a hook blade that helps a bit with climbing and extends your reach slightly. Yes you can occasionally use it to zip-line from one place to another, and 'jump' over a person in a cool way, but all in all- it seemed useless. Not to mention the bombs. Ugh. THOSE BOMBS. I always forgot I had the poor things. I suppose it's for the fact I like the 'direct kill' approach rather than the 'luring the attentions to a certain spot while I run past quickly' one. Whatever ever the case may be I have one thing to say about the bombs: What fricken button do I use to throw them again?
With Uncharted 3, it was..... predicable (at least for me). You get some background on Nate and Sully, like how they met and a bit on Nate's childhood. You get some some more Elena and Nate moments, and even a bit of Chloe kick butt scenes; not to mention Sully steps up to the plate and joins you on more missions. All in all though, the game seems to be lacking..... something. Maybe it's the lack of mutated/cursed humans, maybe it's because I thought the gameplay (took me a total of 6 1/2 hours to complete) was short, I just can't put my finger on what it's missing. Maybe you all can.
Well, that's all I have to update on. Sorry if this seemed a bit.... lengthy.
